Project background Impactt is commissioned throughout the year to conduct human rights assessments in Romania by predominantly oil and gas companies. The purpose of the assessments is to help companies to gain an understanding of the labour rights risks experienced by its workforce and assess the effectiveness of management systems in mitigating these risks.
Impactt is looking for a worker interviewer who can complete the following tasks:
Attend briefing calls with the Impactt team.
Conduct worker interviews of contracted workers in Romanian language.
Attend debrief sessions with the Lead Assessor throughout the assessment.
Support with logistical arrangements for the interviews, where required.
Reporting findings from interviews in a pre-designed template.
Timeline Impactt have an assessment that is due to be delivered approximately in November 2024. We expect that the worker interviewer activities will take place over the course of four (4) days. Impactt may be in touch with the candidate regarding additional projects in the future depending on the demand in Romania.

General Experience
Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience delivering individual or group interviews (preferably working with vulnerable groups of people)
Good understanding of national labour law
Exposure to international labour law
Experience in social compliance auditing or labour rights assessments/investigations.
Specific Experience
A good understanding of labour rights risks faced by subcontracted workers in international supply chains.
Language
Good written and spoken English.
Fluency in Romanian language.
Right to work
Must have a legal right to work in Romania.

Once you have successfully applied, you will join our pool of associate consultants and will also be considered for additional short-term and long-term assignments in the region as and when they come up. You will have the freedom to work on projects that interest you and receive a contract form for each project you support on.
