Fan Duel is looking for a Data Dev Ops Engineer who demonstrates strong work behaviors and drive to join our highly skilled Engineering team. As a Data Dev Ops Engineer at Fan Duel, you will have the chance to work with the latest technology and collaborate with a diverse team of experts, including engineers, data scientists, and cloud platform engineers. We are seeking someone with a successful background in cloud architecture, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (Ia C), and operational platform maintenance.
As a member of our Data Dev Ops Platform Engineering Team, you will play a crucial role in designing and managing our cloud infrastructure, focusing on scalability, resilience, and security. You will provide technical guidance to our Dev Ops team, foster a culture of continual learning, and enhance infrastructure performance. Additionally, you will set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement automated testing and release processes, and explore new tools and technologies to improve our Dev Ops workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security using terraform.
- Provide technical guidance to the Dev Ops team, fostering a culture of continual learning.
- Enhance infrastructure performance, monitor operations, and proactively tackle bottlenecks.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implementing automated testing and release processes.
- Explore and recommend tools and technologies to improve the Dev Ops workflow.
- Build, maintain, optimize, and scale Fan Duel's data infrastructure.
- Improve operations and processes through automation and advanced tooling.
- Collaborate with data engineers to foster effective collaboration and optimize infrastructure usage.
- Plan for the growth of Fan Duel's data infrastructure, preparing for future challenges.

Requirements:
Desired Characteristics:
- Technical depth and hands-on implementation experience of various practices and tools in the Dev Ops toolchain.
- Working knowledge of data technologies like Airflow, EMR, Spark, and HDFS.
- Comfortable designing and coding modules for infrastructure, application, and processes.
- Experience in streamlining processes and a proven history of successful collaboration across teams.
- Superior communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Technology Experience:
- 3-5 years of Linux experience with Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
- 3-5 years of AWS experience (IAM, S3, KMS, Cloud Formation, VPC, Lambda, Security Groups, SNS, RDS, EMR).
- 3-5 years of Git Hub, CI/CD (Buildkite, Jenkins) experience.
- 3-5 years of Configuration Management tools (Puppet or similar, Ansible, Chef).
- 2-4 years of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation) experience.
- 2-3 years of Docker, Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, ECS), Helm package manager experience.
- 1-2 years of experience with Apache Airflow, Databricks, Apache Spark, db T, Kafka.
Nice to have:
- 1-3 years of experience with Messaging technologies such as SQS, Kafka, Rabbit MQ.
- 1-3 years of experience with Data Dog, Cloudwatch monitoring solutions.
