Summary: The Waitress cum Cashier will take orders and ensure to serve high quality food and beverages to the customers in our restaurant. She will also accurately processes customer payment transactions. She must have a strong knowledge of customer service and able to anticipate the needs of customers in a friendly and professional manner. Job Responsibilities: 1. Providing excellent wait service, greeting the customers and escort them to their tables. 2. Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies). 3. Inform customers about the day’s specials and up-sell additional products when appropriate. 4. Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff. 5. Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses and maintain a tidy dining area. 6. Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared. 7. Deliver checks and collect bill payments. 8. Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning. 9. Check that customers are satisfied with their meal. 10. Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. events or parties). 11. Follow all relevant health department regulations. 12. Provide excellent customer service to customers. 13. Monitor and replenish petty cash funds allocated for operations. 14. Prepare sales invoices, receivables and payable. Prepare requests for suppliers' payments and follow up with check/cash vouchers. Prepare quotations, sales orders, cash sales and requests for credit. 15. Manage transactions with customers using cash registers. 16. Receive guest payments and process transactions. 17. Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets.
