Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.
Job Purpose
We are looking for a Waiter/Waitress to work within The Ned Doha. If you have experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a busy restaurant or hotel luxury environment, and you are enthusiastic, passionate about delivering good customer service; then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests warmly and escorting them to their tables.
- Presenting menus and providing detailed information on menu items.
- Taking accurate food and drink orders and relaying them to the kitchen staff.
- Serving food and beverages promptly and accurately.
- Anticipating guests' needs and responding promptly to requests.
- Handling guest inquiries, comments, and complaints with professionalism and tact.
- Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.

- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Experience & Knowledge
- Previous experience in a similar role in luxury or lifestyle brand of hotel
- Familiarity with all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Ability to describe dishes accurately and make recommendations based on guests' preferences.
- Awareness of daily specials, promotions, and any changes to the menu.

- Teamwork: Waiters often work as part of a team, requiring the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other front-of-house employees to deliver seamless service.
- Adaptability: The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, adapt to changing circumstances, and quickly resolve issues is essential in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Product Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens, enables waiters to make informed recommendations and address guest inquiries confidently.
- Upselling and Salesmanship: Waiters should be skilled in promoting menu items, specials, and beverages to increase sales while remaining attentive to guests' preferences and budgetary constraints.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and address guest concerns or issues promptly and effectively, whether related to service, food quality, or other aspects of the dining experience, is essential for maintaining guest satisfaction.
