Job Summary: The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service by attending to guests' needs, taking orders, serving tea and food, and ensuring a clean and organized dining area. The role also requires maintaining a positive dining experience for all customers while adhering to restaurant policies and hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet guests promptly and courteously.
Present menus and provide detailed information on tea varieties and food items.
Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to kitchen staff.
Serve tea and food items with proper presentation.
Ensure customer satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing concerns promptly.
Order Taking & Serving:
Recommend daily specials or popular items when needed.
Deliver orders to customers quickly and efficiently.
Ensure beverages are refilled and additional requests are handled.
Clear and reset tables after customers leave.
Tea Preparation (if required):
Assist in the preparation of specialty teas, ensuring consistency and quality.
Handle tea brewing equipment with care and precision.
Cleanliness & Organization:
Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, including tables, floors, and stations.
Follow health and safety regulations regarding food hygiene and restaurant cleanliness.
Assist in arranging and stocking supplies such as napkins, cutlery, and condiments.
Payment Handling:
Present bills to customers, process payments accurately, and provide receipts.
Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods following company policies.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen staff and other waiters/waitresses to ensure smooth service.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding guest needs and any operational issues.
Upselling:
Actively promote add-ons like desserts, special teas, or side dishes to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
