Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Business Analyst with substantial experience in the software business analysis field to join our dynamic team. As a Software Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, performing data analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that software solutions meet business objectives and drive organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for software projects. Utilize various techniques such as interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather comprehensive information.
- Business Analysis: Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Develop detailed business requirements and use cases for software development.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear and detailed documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and process maps. Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with software developers, architects, and other technical teams to design effective solutions that address business needs. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work with development teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure that software solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and address any issues or defects identified during the testing process.
- Project Management: Support project management activities by tracking project progress, managing timelines, and communicating status updates to stakeholders. Assist in prioritizing requirements and managing project scope.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure that the organization leverages the latest technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in analysing and improving software systems, with a focus on software development projects. Experience in specific industries relevant to the company (e.g., finance, healthcare) is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies. Experience with software development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI) and project management software (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project) is desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to think critically and identify solutions to complex business challenges.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
