Quantity Surveyor (Aluminum and Facade)
ob Description: Quantity Surveyor (Aluminum and Facade)
Key Responsibilities:
Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for aluminum and façade works, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client expectations.
- Tendering and Contracts:
- Assist in the preparation of tender documentation for aluminum and façade projects.
- Evaluate and negotiate tenders from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Review and negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Project Cost Management:
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying any cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide accurate monthly cost reports and forecasts to the management team.
- Certify subcontractor and supplier payments in accordance with contracts and agreements.
- Risk and Value Management:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and propose solutions to mitigate financial risks.
- Implement value engineering techniques to ensure optimal project outcomes while maintaining quality.
- Measurement and Valuations:
- Prepare bills of quantities, take-offs, and interim valuations for aluminum and façade elements.
- Conduct site measurements and assess variations during the project lifecycle.
- Change Order and Variation Management:
- Assess and evaluate any project changes or variations, preparing documentation and cost impacts.
- Ensure change orders are documented and approved before execution.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, contracts, and industry standards.
- Provide regular project financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, design teams, and procurement teams to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in aluminum and façade projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of aluminum systems and façade installation processes.
- Proficient in cost estimating software (e.g., Candy, Cost X, etc.) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Familiarity with contract forms (e.g., FIDIC, JCT).
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications: MRICS or other relevant professional certifications are preferred.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
