Installation of AC Systems: Install new air conditioning systems, including central air units, split systems, and window units, ensuring they are set up correctly and safely.
Maintenance & Servicing: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, coils, and fans; checking refrigerant levels; and inspecting electrical components to ensure optimal system performance.
Repairs & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in AC systems, including electrical and mechanical components, refrigerant issues, and airflow problems.
System Upgrades: Recommend and implement upgrades or replacements for outdated or inefficient systems to improve energy efficiency and performance.
Ductwork Installation & Repair: Install and repair ductwork, ensuring proper airflow and distribution throughout the building.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with local HVAC codes and regulations, and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to explain issues, provide cost estimates, and offer guidance on system usage and maintenance.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job for billing and tracking purposes.
Emergency Response: Provide prompt service during emergency situations, such as system breakdowns during extreme weather conditions.
Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment in good working order, and ensure company vehicles are maintained and stocked with necessary parts.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as an AC technician or in a similar HVAC role.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of air conditioning systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical components, and HVAC principles.
Certification: EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants (or local equivalent).
Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic skills to identify issues and determine effective repair solutions.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require physical exertion.
Attention to Detail: Precision in performing installations and repairs to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
