Client Consultation: Work with clients to understand their preferences, needs, and the measurements required for accurate window fittings.
Fabric Selection: Provide guidance on fabric choice, colors, and patterns to match the client’s interior design.
Measuring and Cutting: Accurately measure windows and cutting fabric to size, ensuring precision and waste minimization.
Sewing and Finishing: Operate sewing machines and other equipment to stitch, hem, and finish curtains with pleats, gathers, trims, or other embellishments.
Installation Support: Occasionally assist with the installation of finished products at client sites, ensuring the fit and finish meet client expectations.
Quality Control: Ensure all products are made to high standards and comply with the company’s quality guidelines.
Repair and Alterations: Make adjustments, repairs, or alterations as needed to ensure client satisfaction.
Maintaining Inventory: Monitor fabric and material stock, place orders for supplies when needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as a curtain maker, seamstress, or in a related role within a textiles or upholstery environment.
Sewing Proficiency: Skilled in hand and machine sewing, with a strong understanding of different stitching techniques.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail to ensure precise measurements, neat seams, and high-quality finishes.
Creativity: Ability to design and create bespoke window treatments that align with client preferences.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
