Pre-Development is accountable for robust new technology release and responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of Pre-Development Projects. It is the reference technical organization for all off-cycle and / or pre-RFQ related enquiries from the OEMs.

Support R&T throughout the Innovation Process and ensure execution of key engineering processes for a robust Product and Process (e.g. Engineering Maturity, Risks Analysis, etc.)
Ensure smooth handover from R&T to Product Development (Engineering Sign-Off)
Feedback / integrate lessons learnt from running business within the Business Group back to R&T
Support acquisition of Research and / or Pre-Development Projects in collaboration with the OEMs
Plan, coordinate and execute Pre-Development Projects with support from other Functions
Support handover to Advanced Engineering for RFQ
Adhere to company values and principles
Identify waste in daily job and bring ideas / solutions to eliminate it
Identify new ideas with environmental and sustainable approach
Support ad hoc requests from line manager

Your qualifications

MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar
7+ years of experience in the engineering and development of products in the automotive industry, with in-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes in his / her field of expertise
Hands-on experience with key engineering processes (DFMEA, DVP, etc.) as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques (PDCA, 8D, Six Sigma, etc.)
Strong organization and high level of self-reliance
Project management skills, familiar with agile method
Analytical thinking and decision making within scope of responsibility
Clear communication with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Particularly comfortable with customer relationships
Results oriented, dynamic attitude and hands-on approach to work
Global spirit and cross-border attitude
Full working proficiency in English
German and French are an advantage
