Your role
Are you a self-reliant, highly driven Business Analyst (BA) having interests in the field of Investment Banking (IB) and Financial Regulations? Are you intellectually curious, good at solving problems and keen to make a difference? Do you know what it takes to deliver complex regulatory or strategic front to back change in an Agile operating environment?
We’re looking for someone like this to:
- Work on the implementation of a range of new change projects, as part of larger IB-wide strategic and/or regulatory change programs. Current programs include Fundamental Review of the Trading Book, US T+1 Settlement, EMIR Refit and UBS-CS Integration
- Work with business, functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to capture and analyse requirements for changes to front to back flows, business processes and systems in response to business or regulatory drivers
- read and digest regulatory text and partner with legal to interpret the implementation intent
- Develop requirement specifications and/or user stories for the changes
- Partner with IT on the implementation of the changes, resolving issues as required
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure the changes are adequately tested
- Prepare and deliver training as required, ensuring Run the Bank are kept informed, involved and able to take on their new responsibilities after go live
Your team
You will be working in the IB Change team in the heart of Krakow City in Poland (Fabryczna Office Park). The team is part of a broader international team, reporting into the IB Chief Operating Office and works in partnership with the Business, Chief Data & Information Office and Group Functions, and takes ownership to manage and deliver critical strategic and regulatory changes for the Investment Bank. This global team is made up of approximately 80 dedicated program/project managers and business analysts, focussed on the delivery of critical strategic and regulatory change programs and projects that impact across multiple IB business areas and front to back functions.

Your expertise
- Minimum 3 years of business analysis experience in banking / finance / financial consulting
- Good analytical and problem solving skills, quick learner with good attention to detail
- Certification in the areas of Business Analysis, Agile or Scrum Methodologies (Scrum Mater or Product Owner) would be an asset
- Investment Banking product knowledge, including knowledge of the front to back flows from quoting to trade capture to settlement and regulatory reporting
- Good understanding of financial regulations that are impacting Investment Banking (examples include: CSDR, Mi FID II, LIBOR, EMIR, SEC SBSD)
- Ability to read and digest regulatory text and partner with Legal to interpret the implementation intent
- Ability to work under pressure, without supervision and to manage deliverables with competing priorities
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to build relationships across a global organization, build trust and influence internal and external stakeholders
- High level of fluency in English – both written and spoken (ability to read, write, speak in a clear and concise manner)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
