Oversee and supervise the activities of the container yard, including container handling and schedule, storage, and ensure that the SLAs are being achieved.
Review the schedule of container movement, oversee and track the container arrivals and departures, updating records through soft ship and other CY systems as necessary.
Address any issues regarding empty containers, damaged goods, deliveries and transportation, discrepancies in container deliveries (overlanding, short landing), claims and other CY related issues.
Ensure that containers are stacked and organized efficiently to maximize space utilization.
Oversee the assessment, estimation, repair and quality inspection of Container Vans.
Ensure the availability of empty containers for loading.
Coordinate with the CCO, Container Locator, and other CY stakeholders for proper movement of the containers.
Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions of the trucks and equipment to the Maintenance Supervisors of the TS-LBE Department.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on yard operations, including container movements, and dwell time among others and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Responsible for receiving physically and through the system the deliveries from the supply chain such as fuel, lubes, spare parts, office supplies, etc.
Responsible for releasing of fuel, lubes, spare parts, office supplies, etc. to the end users.
Responsible for adjusting the inventories of fuel, office supplies, etc. in the system.
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operation of the Transport Section.
Manage truck allocation and ensure that all the pickups and deliveries meet on time.
Determine and assess third-party trucking services and recommend new providers (if needed) to boost and improve the transport performance.
Oversee the hustling operation in the port and terminal and ensure that all containers are transferred safely and efficiently at the designated area of storage.
Troubleshoot and coordinate any traffic incidents or accidents.
Ensure compliance with all the regulatory requirements such as LTO registration, PPA permits and regulations, and other transport regulating bodies and agencies.
Qualifications:
Graduate of any 4-year course
Relevant work experience in the field of business, logistics, and transport
At least 3 years of lead role experience in the distribution or logistics
Above-average communication and technical writing skills
Willing to work in Tacloban City
