Role Summary
Responsible in making sure that all relevant accounting processes are followed to give reasonable assurance that there is proper documentation (audit trail) of specific accounting transactions to enable verification or audit of reported financial information.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Finance Assistant for tax related matters;
• Handles tax returns filings and payments;
• Prepares BIR reports and necessary paperworks;
• Assists in the processing of business permits, taxes and licenses;
• Assists with the preparation of documents for internal and external audit;
• Facilitate and process other government reports and filings (SEC, City Hall, etc.);
• Manage and maintain the company’s tax database;
• Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions;
• Ensure compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to local and national authorities;
• Monitor Petty Cash Fund
• Prepare and submits accurate monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports;
• Liaise with corporate legal for any tax proceedings/ disputes;
• Handles queries and audit notices related to tax matters;
• Assist auditors in annual tax compliance;
• Assists Payroll Officer in computation of Compensation Tax; and
• Verify tax calculation requirement on paid invoices.

Other Responsibilities

• Any duties assigned by Immediate Supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications

• With a Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Management Accounting;
• Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk;
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures;
• Competency in accounting database/ software;
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports;
• Accuracy and attention to detail;
• Aptitude for numbers;
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks;
• Data entry and word processing skills;
• Well organized;
• Highly accountable;
• Has exceptional understanding of Microsoft Office, Google workspace;
• Excellent communication (written and verbal);
• Capable of working effectively and productively;
• Ability to maintain strong ethical and professional values;
• Ability to meet deadlines, or earlier than the deadlines;
• Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; and
• The ability to operate in diverse cultural environments.
