Maintaining a Visible Presence: Security guards act as a visual deterrent to crime by patrolling the branch, monitoring activity, and ensuring a professional demeanor.
Access Control: Security personnel may be responsible for controlling access to the bank, including monitoring entry/exit points, verifying identification, and escorting high-value customers.
Suspicious Activity Detection: Being observant and identifying any suspicious behavior that could indicate a potential threat, such as someone lingering near the vault or following customers.
Emergency Response: Responding to emergencies such as robberies, assaults, or medical situations. This may involve contacting law enforcement, securing the scene, and assisting medical personnel.
Loss Prevention: Helping to prevent theft and fraud by monitoring transactions and reporting any suspicious activity to the branch manager.
Customer Service: Providing a courteous and professional demeanor to customers, answering questions, and de-escalating any tense situations.
Safety and Security Procedures: Ensuring adherence to all bank security protocols, such as opening and closing procedures, cash handling practices, and alarm systems.
Reporting: Documenting all security incidents and completing detailed reports.

Prior security experience (preferred)
