Health and Safety Officer
Job Duties
- Issues regular reports showing safety performance and accident trends.
- Review procedure for compliance with applicable laws and safety codes.
- Attend the EHS committee meeting of the project.
- Secure and renew necessary work permits needed for the project.
- Monitor safety standards and audit activities and facilities.
- Provide barricade and safety signage to all needed construction area.
- Ensure that the company has, at all times, the capability and resources to operate safely.
- Monitors proper housekeeping in the project.
- Conducts safety orientation to newly hired employees.
- Conducts toolbox meeting depending on the frequency needed in the project site.
- Conducts monthly inspection of the fire-fighting equipment, power tools, and other equipment.
- Requires all employees to wear personal protective equipment while inside PPE areas of the project.
- Reports all unsafe conditions and unsafe acts and provides counseling for safe procedures and requirements.
- Assist in the investigation and report on all serious/critical accident/incident that occurred in the construction site.
- Conducts regular safety inspection on the job site to ensure that the construction personnel are complying with the established safety policy and regulations.
- Ensures faithful compliance with the Safety Officer’s Manual and make sure all records and reports required therein are complete, comprehensive, and accurate.
- Must be Bachelor’s/College Degree in any field.
- At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required.
- Can provide copy of BOSH/COSH Certificate.
- Experience in Construction Safety
- Proficient in using Excel, Word, Google Workspace
- Willing to be deployed in Murcia, Negros Occidental.
