The Auto Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles used in construction projects. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all equipment is operating efficiently and safely. Job Description:
Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and trucks.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment.
Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, welding equipment, or other necessary tools.
Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and ensure safety compliance.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are completed in compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Work closely with other mechanics, operators, and construction personnel to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in auto mechanics or related field is preferred. · Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment repair and maintenance. · Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as a mechanic, with a focus on heavy equipment used in construction.
