The Accounting Specialist is responsible for permits and licenses, cheque preparations, recognizing future project expenses, quality review of documents, checking the accuracy of amounts and validity of claimed overtime, reviewing, analyzing, and recording transactions, and attending internal and external training. Main Responsibilities:
Record financial transactions and maintain up-to-date records
Prepare financial statements and reports
Reconcile accounts and address discrepancies
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Assist in audits and budget preparation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Assess business processes within organizations to identify improvements related to the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
Assure safeguards are in place to protect the company’s resources.
Work on projects or ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, CPA is an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of work experience in accounting or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical and evaluation skills with attention to detail.
Must have a technical knowledge in setting up an Accounting System.
Able to perform reconciliations of general ledger entries by auditing past and current transactions.
Able to evaluate internal controls that safeguard company assets and make recommendations on how to improve.
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, and regulations.
Can work well under pressure and with minimum supervision
Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, and Accounting software.
