Position: District Manager Location: Selective Districts in KP and South Punjab (NMD)
(This position will be based in the selected areas e.g. Multan, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Lahore Industrial Zone, Rajanpur, Bajaur, Kurram, Khyber, Mohmand, North & South Waziristan, Orakzai)
Education: Master’s/Bachelor’s in Social Sciences/Gender Studies/Education/Economics Experience: 4-5 years of experience in implementing educational projects, community mobilization, and managing stakeholder relationships at the district level. Proven ability to lead project activities, navigate logistical and technical challenges, and deliver impactful results in educational settings. Role Purpose: The District Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of educational initiatives, including learning camps, within their designated district. This position is responsible for overseeing project activities, managing logistical and administrative tasks, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government departments and partners. The District Manager will lead the district team in achieving project targets, ensuring compliance with British Council and GOAL project procedures, and contributing to the overall success of educational interventions aimed at improving learning outcomes for marginalized communities. Job Description: Manage the implementation of surveys, learning camps in the respective district and schools, addressing logistical and technical challenges effectively and timely. Implement the project in the district and be responsible for achieving project targets and providing leadership to the district team. Provide oversight and support to the team in developing linkages and partnerships with schools and non-formal department to increase scale of the project as per the given targets. Oversee and coordinate the delivery of GOAL project activities, including managing events, communications, contacts, networks, logistics, external suppliers, and meetings to achieve targets in Punjab areas, Lahore, KP, and Islamabad. Develop strong liaison with relevant district departments and coordinate with team members and management to meet the project objectives/targets with sustainability. Develop linkages/networking with relevant partner organizations including local CSOs, educational institutions, and media etc. Ensure adherence to ITA's and British Council's code of conduct, policies, and procedures, as well as compliance with Safeguarding and PSEA policies. Provide administrative, compliance, and logistical support to the district team for learning camp implementation. Manage coordination with internal and external stakeholders and British Council team for the designated region. Support the Project Manager in relationship management and collaborate with partners and government departments. Track all project activities and meetings, prepare and compile reports, conduct basic research, and prepare promotional materials in collaboration with the British Council Marketing and Communications team. Ensure smooth operations including HR, administrative, and financial matters. To make monthly progress report and share with project manager and team members. To conduct monthly staff meeting and share minutes of meeting with project manager and other relevant departments. Ensure compliance with British Council and GOAL project procedures, including project, financial, and risk reporting. Liaise with the British Council procurement team for logistics procurement and payments, and provide regular financial accounting support. Interpret and follow guidelines for documentation, branding, and data management. Prepare documents such as presentations, meeting minutes, consent forms, and ensure compliance with British Council and GOAL branding policies.
