Description
Operations Management:
- Oversee scheduling, coordination, and execution of training programs
- Manage training rooms, equipment, and resources
- Ensure facility safety, cleanliness, and maintenance
- Collaborate on program development and refinement
- Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Stay updated on industry trends
- Recruit, train, and supervise ad hoc trainers
- Coordinate with senior instructor/internal verifier for performance evaluations and address performance issues
- Organize professional development opportunities
- Develop and manage Training budget
- Control expenses and maximize resource utilization
- Approve and monitor expenditures, invoicing, and financial reporting
- Act as primary point of contact for trainees, trainers, and stakeholders
- Address and resolve complaints or issues
- Build relationships with external partners and stakeholders
- Promote training centre and programs through marketing initiatives
- Monitor and manage enrolment numbers
- Develop strategies to increase enrolment and retention
- Ensure compliance with regulations and accreditation standards (NIMASA, OPITO, OTG, STCW, etc.)
- Maintain accurate records for audits and reviews
- Manage certifications and ensure validity
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes
- Conduct evaluations of training materials, trainers, and trainee satisfaction
- Address feedback to improve program quality
- Implement and manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training technology
- Introduce new technologies or methodologies
- Oversee virtual and remote training programs
- Prepare reports on center performance (financial, enrolment, feedback)
- Manage databases and maintain accurate records
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, or training-related technologies (beneficial)
- Managerial-level marine industry background (beneficial)
