Job Position: Training Center Manager Job Location: Lagos
Description
Operations Management:
Oversee scheduling, coordination, and execution of training programs
Manage training rooms, equipment, and resources
Ensure facility safety, cleanliness, and maintenance
Program Development and Improvement:
Collaborate on program development and refinement
Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements
Stay updated on industry trends
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise ad hoc trainers
Coordinate with senior instructor/internal verifier for performance evaluations and address performance issues
Organize professional development opportunities
Financial Management:
Develop and manage Training budget
Control expenses and maximize resource utilization
Approve and monitor expenditures, invoicing, and financial reporting
Customer and Stakeholder Relations:
Act as primary point of contact for trainees, trainers, and stakeholders
Address and resolve complaints or issues
Build relationships with external partners and stakeholders
Marketing and Enrolment:
Promote training centre and programs through marketing initiatives
Monitor and manage enrolment numbers
Develop strategies to increase enrolment and retention
Compliance and Accreditation:
Ensure compliance with regulations and accreditation standards (NIMASA, OPITO, OTG, STCW, etc.)
Maintain accurate records for audits and reviews
Manage certifications and ensure validity
Quality Assurance:
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes
Conduct evaluations of training materials, trainers, and trainee satisfaction
Address feedback to improve program quality
Technology and Innovation:
Implement and manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training technology
Introduce new technologies or methodologies
Oversee virtual and remote training programs
Reporting and Data Management:
Prepare reports on center performance (financial, enrolment, feedback)
Manage databases and maintain accurate records
Key Advantages
Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, or training-related technologies (beneficial)
Managerial-level marine industry background (beneficial)
