NodeJS Backend Engineer

Position Overview:
As a Backend Engineer, you will be a key player in designing and implementing the backend systems that power our exciting and interactive gaming experiences. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Node.js, Postgre SQL, and Nest JS, coupled with a strong passion for gaming and a proven track record in game development.
Responsibilities:
Pay: ₦100,000.00 - ₦180,000.00 per month

Position Overview:
As a Backend Engineer, you will be a key player in designing and implementing the backend systems that power our exciting and interactive gaming experiences. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Node.js, Postgre SQL, and Nest JS, coupled with a strong passion for gaming and a proven track record in game development.
Responsibilities:
- Game Backend Development:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and performant backend systems to support multiplayer gaming features.
- Collaborate with game designers and frontend developers to ensure seamless integration of game logic and backend functionality.
- Database Management:
- Develop and optimize database schemas and queries for Postgre SQL to handle large volumes of game-related data.
- Implement and maintain systems for player data storage, game state management, and in-game transactions.
- Real-Time Systems:
- Implement real-time communication protocols and systems to support multiplayer gameplay.
- Optimize backend systems for low-latency interactions between players.
- Scalability and Performance:
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the backend infrastructure to ensure smooth and responsive gaming experiences.
- Implement solutions for horizontal scaling to accommodate growing user bases.
- Code Review and Collaboration:
- Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, frontend engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Proficient in Node.js, Nest JS, and Postgre SQL | MONGODB etc.
- Experience with real-time multiplayer game development and networking protocols.
- Dev Ops experience is a plus, especially with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure or Digital Ocean.
- Strong understanding of game development principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Passion for gaming and a creative mindset.
Pay: ₦100,000.00 - ₦180,000.00 per month
