Role Overview: - As a math Teacher, your primary responsibility is to educate and prepare learners for common entrance or final primary examinations. - You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages academic growth and personal development for maths. - You will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum. Curriculum Development: - Develop a comprehensive understanding of the common entrance, WAEC, IGCSE, NECO examination requirements and standards. - Ensure that the curriculum is effectively implemented to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the examinations. - Adapt and customize teaching materials to cater to the diverse needs of individual students. Lesson Planning and Delivery: - Create well-structured lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and learning activities to enhance student engagement and understanding. - Employ innovative teaching methodologies to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning among students. - Use technology, visual aids, and real-life examples to make lessons interactive and relevant. Classroom Management: - Establish a positive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect, inclusivity, and active student participation. - Conduct effective extension classes for the learners. - Maintain discipline and manage behavior, creating clear expectations and enforcing consistent consequences when necessary. - Offer guidance and support to students, addressing their individual strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. Assessment and Evaluation: - Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement. - Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, helping them to understand their strengths and weaknesses. - Prepare students for the format and expectations of the common entrance or final primary examination through mock tests and practice exercises.
