Job Description: ITHAC is seeking a Graphic Design Manager who can lead and oversee our design department. This role is not just about ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of visual design projects but also about guidance to a team of junior designers. The Graphic Design Manager will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to bring creative concepts to life, ensuring that all visual elements meet brand standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Roles & Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management:
Motivate and encourage internal and external design teams to meet deadlines and produce exceptional work.
Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to junior designers, fostering their professional growth and creativity.
Manage design teams, ensuring projects are produced on time, meet high specifications, and align with client expectations.
Project Oversight:
As the Graphic Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all visual design work is delivered according to schedule and of the highest quality, maintaining our company's high standards and contributing to our reputation for excellence.
Oversee the design process from conception to completion, utilizing technical expertise to streamline workflows and ensure efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure design elements align with overall project goals and marketing strategies.
Client Collaboration:
Work closely with clients to understand their design requirements and ensure their expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Present design concepts to clients and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Design Review & Quality Control:
Review all design work with attention to detail, ensuring that designs are easy to understand and meet the required standards.
Incorporate health and safety considerations into design reviews, where applicable.
Documentation & Process Improvement:
Maintain thorough design process documentation, ensuring all relevant stakeholders can access design plans and materials appropriately.
Avoid errors and reduce financial risks by carefully managing design processes, especially in construction or production-related projects.
Stay up-to-date with changes in building legislation, codes of practice, and design-related regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Site Visits & Design Implementation:
Occasionally visit project sites to review the implementation of design plans and ensure that the design intent is being followed.
Ensure that design documentation is readily available to the team members and external partners responsible for construction or production.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in graphic design, with at least 2-3 years in a management or leadership role.
Strong portfolio showcasing leadership in design projects and an ability to manage teams and timelines.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design).
Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
Ability to balance creative vision with technical constraints and practical requirements.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
