Job Summary:
The Field Sales Representative/Manager for Animal Feeds will be responsible for driving sales and expanding the market share of animal feed products within Enugu State. This role requires a strong understanding of the agricultural and livestock industry, as well as experience in sales and customer relationship management. The successful candidate will develop and execute sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and target potential customers, including livestock farmers, feed retailers, and distributors.
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets for animal feed products.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive products.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Provide customers with technical support and product knowledge, helping them make informed decisions.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback efficiently, ensuring timely resolutions.
Product Promotion and Marketing:
Promote animal feed products through direct sales efforts, product presentations, and demonstrations.
Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to showcase products and services.
Educate customers on the benefits and proper usage of animal feed products to optimize their results.
Sales Reporting and Administration:
Prepare and submit regular sales reports, detailing sales activities, results, and forecasts.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales transactions, and inventory levels.
Collaborate with the sales team and management to refine sales strategies and address challenges.
Market Intelligence:
Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may affect sales.
Provide insights and feedback to the management team regarding market trends, customer preferences, and potential new products.
Stay informed about advancements in animal nutrition and feed technology to better serve customers.
Team Leadership (For Manager Level):
Lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Set performance goals for the team and monitor progress to ensure the achievement of sales targets.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss strategies, performance, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in sales, particularly in the animal feed or agricultural industry.
In-depth knowledge of animal nutrition, feed products, and the livestock industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing market share.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Willingness to travel extensively within Enugu State and occasionally to other regions.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₦200,000.00 - ₦350,000.00 per month
