Applications are invited for the Facilities Manager position to be based in theSouthern Region.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: As the Facilities Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing all facilities leasing and landlord relations for the business. Managing all facilities & infrastructure administrators, admin assistants in the department and implementing functional operational plans aligned to Herotel's tactical goals.
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to: Leadership and management of the following functions:
Facilities leasing - Administrative and Facilities Management support to the business with a
strong focus on administration of facility lease and barter agreements.
Landlord relations - Coordination with landowners, negotiations on contract renewals.
Co-location facilities – Coordinate & negotiate any new applications & contract renewals.
Management
Participate in the Level-2 Management MOS meeting by ensuring that Tactical Goals from the Business Plan are converted into Operational plans.
Participate in the Level-2 Cross Functional MOS meeting to ensure that there is alignment with all customer and supplier teams – maintain rhythm in the business.
Manage each Level-1 operational team by ensuring that:
Operational plans are shared and executed.
All resources needed are available to Level-1 staff.
Each individual Level-1 team member has activity lists each day and knows what is expected in terms of speed, quality, cost and safety in executing the activities.
The execution of activities is monitored (SQSCT) and feedback loops are in place for daily problem solving or improvements.
Reporting on needed metrics and statistics.
Uphold partnership agreements with customer and/or supplier teams.
Coach and train the Level-1 team members to execute activities as expected.
Lead the Level-1 MOS meeting to facilitate the management structure.
Where the span of control necessitates the use of Team Leaders, provide these with a clear Do A.
Leadership
Receive specific functional governance and guidance regarding policies, best practices and
standards and reports into the Divisional Manager.
Lead and coach Level-2 Team Members to help them improve and to remain aligned to the tactical
goals and culture of the business.
Align the function with other divisions, functions and regions.
Implement the MOS discipline in the procurement support function.
Key outputs:
Develop Operational plans for the Function, and ensure that it aligns with and is clearly communicated to all other Functions.
Ensure that all resources needed for the Division to operate is available when needed.
Manage, train and coach the Operational teams so they can act effectively.
Accurate prioritization and disciplined time management.
Ensure the Function collects and analyses the correct data to inform decisions.
Create and lead MOS and related meetings in line with national rhythms.
Ensure the business culture is practiced in all teams.
Formal Operational reporting to the rest of the Division.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills: Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' work experience in a Facilities and Infrastructure department, of which at least 2 years are at SME level.
Relevant experience in the Telecommunications industry will be beneficial.

Education Requirements:
Grade 12
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in the applicable field will be beneficial.
