Job Title:Clinical Psychologist Intern Location: Abuja, Nigeria Experience: 0-2 years Job Description: As a Clinical Psychologist Intern, you will work closely with experienced psychologists and other mental health professionals. You will assist in providing psychological assessments, therapy sessions, and contributing to the overall well-being of clients. This position is ideal for recent graduates or those starting their career in clinical psychology. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct Psychological Assessments: Assist in administering and scoring psychological tests, and gathering client histories for comprehensive evaluation. 2. Provide Therapy Support: Assist in individual, group, or family therapy sessions, under the supervision of licensed psychologists. 3. Case Management: Maintain accurate and detailed case notes on clients' progress, including therapy notes, assessments, and treatment plans. 4. Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with supervising clinicians to develop customized treatment plans based on client needs and diagnoses. 5. Crisis Intervention: Support clients in crisis situations by providing emotional assistance and identifying strategies to reduce immediate stress. 6. Research and Data Collection: Participate in data collection and research for ongoing psychological studies or client assessments. 7. Client Education: Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatments. 8. Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure that all client information and records are kept confidential in compliance with ethical and legal standards. 9. Social Media Engagement: Assist in creating and managing mental health-related content for the organization’s social media platforms to raise awareness and promote services. 10. Tech-Savvy: Utilize various digital tools and platforms to support teletherapy sessions, manage client records, and assist with administrative tasks. 11. Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to provide holistic care. 12. Professional Development: Attend supervision sessions and professional development training to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on current psychological practices. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology. Recent graduates or individuals completing their NYSC are encouraged to apply. Experience: 0-2 years of clinical experience (internships or volunteering experience in a mental health setting is an advantage). Location: Must reside in Abuja or be willing to relocate.
