Job Summary: The Business Development Lead will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding the company's market presence within the healthcare sector. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the health industry, particularly in health sales, and a proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Expansion:
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments in the healthcare sector, with a focus on increasing market share in Imo State and surrounding regions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's reach and influence within the healthcare market.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
  • Lead the sales efforts for the company's healthcare products and services, driving revenue growth and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, hospitals, clinics, and other potential clients.
  • Strategic Partnerships:
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations, government bodies, and other relevant entities to enhance the company's market position.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to showcase the company's offerings and value proposition.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
  • Analyze market data and provide insights to the management team to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Proposal and Contract Management:
  • Prepare and present business proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to secure new business.
  • Ensure all agreements and contracts align with the company's policies and legal requirements.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the healthcare industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare market in Nigeria, particularly in Imo State and surrounding areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective business development strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦300,000.00 - ₦400,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Owerri: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
  • Health Sales: 3 years (Required)
Language:
  • Igbo (Preferred)
