Ward B5 is a 32-bed combined gastroenterology and oncology ward.
We are looking for a passionate Ward Clerk to join our
gastroenterology and oncology team on
a part-time basis. This role will be based at Christchurch Hospital. Ideally,
we are looking for a candidate that has a strong administration background
coupled with great customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast
paced, challenging environment.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim
settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 3/Profile 3

of phone calls into ward/unit * Contact
person for the ward/ unit and communicate between departments * Supply
and equipment ordering * Manage
patient bookings * Manage
the rostering system * Process

using a Patient Management System (desirable) * Intermediate
Microsoft Suite Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) * Very
high levels of confidentiality * Communication
and interpersonal skills * Ability

time management and problem-solving skills * Ability
to work under pressure to meet deadlines * Able
