Vegetation Control Operator - Timaru

The role:

The Timaru team is looking for someone to join this fast-paced crew, primarily working within the Timaru and Mackenzie regions fulfilling the requirements of our client's needs.

The successful applicant will need to be able to be either skilled or upskilled in the various pieces of machinery including Mowers and Spray equipment.

The role involves a variety of grounds maintenance, weed spray operations, mowing and pilot driving for our main customers in the area.

Full training given to the right applicant.

About you:

Highly motivated and a proven team player
Proactive problem solver
Ability to handle the physical demands of the role
Exhibits tidy and methodical work practices
Has the ability to work independently
Strong communication and organizational skills
Excellent attendance and Health and Safety record

What you need to succeed:

Hands on experience and a good understanding of environmental laboring (machinery operation, spraying, mowing equipment, and vegetation control);
Understands and adheres to Health & Safety guidelines and best practice;
Enjoys working outside in all weather;
Must be physically fit and able;
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude;
A current and clean Driver’s license class 1;
TC/ STMS desirable
A proven record of being a team player with experience supervising small teams
