We are currently looking for qualified tradespeople or those with a bit of experience in the industry.
Our Maintenance Delivery team are out around the city working in crews on the underground network for water, stormwater, and wastewater.
The teamwork from a list of jobs to maintain, fix and service the water network for the community with tasks like:
Fixing a water leak
Sorting out a blocked pipe
Working in our streams and gullies
Attending an emergency flood
Maintaining a drain or pipe system
Working at one of our Treatment Plants or reservoirs
Constructing a new connection for a new house or subdivision
What we are looking for:
Level 3 or 4 NZQA National Certificate in water and/or wastewater reticulation (or equivalent) r Registered Drainlayer
Experience working at manual labouring and using a digger
Be able to keep accurate records, both written and electronically.
Able to work unsupervised and follow instructions.
Able to communicate to colleagues and public in a positive manner.
Available to be rostered on-call afterhours and weekends
Full NZ Drivers Licence, Class 2 would be an advantage
Relocation assistance for those already in New Zealand.
