Telecommunications Technician

Kiwilance Data & Security is Telecommunications Installation and Service Company. We provide solutions in Structured Cabling, Fiber Optics, CCTV & Security, Wireless & WAN, Design & Consultancy.
We are currently looking for a Telecommunications Technicians to join our team. We are looking for self-motivated Telecommunication Technicians who never says no to work.
You will need to have the following attributes in order to be considered for this role:
- Data Cabling & Telecom Technician, skilled in Cable pulling & outlets installations.
- Have a basic knowledge of structured Data Cabling installations, preferably both Copper and Fiber optic.
-Reading and interpreting drawings and plans. (Communication services, ceiling plans, wall plans, room layout sheets)
-To be successful you will be a team player, professional, be a good at maintaining relationships and have an eye for accuracy & quality.
- Be competent with hand/power tools, and other technical equipment.
- Be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
-Knowledge of basic industry standards would be advantageous but not required.
- Have an awareness and commitment to following health and safety work practices.
- Previous Cabling experience would be advantageous but not required; we will provide training to the right candidate.
-There are no educational requirements for this position, but if you have any trade experience or Electronics & Communication qualification would be advantageous.
- Must be able to pass police vetting and Drug checks.
-Must be available to work flexible hours during weekends as well not every weekend but sometimes on weekend depending on a job.
-We work on project bases so for this role, the ideal candidate must be willing to relocate to any region in New Zealand depending on the project and requirements.
-The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and eager to learn about the telecom and security industries. Will provide all training & qualification if required to the right candidate.

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
