Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position It's an exciting time at Te Kura and we are looking for an innovative and collaborative Team Leader – Learning Support to join the Te Kāhui Hauāuru Region in this key management role based in Hamilton. Passionate about making a difference for students with additional needs, you will be responsible for the coordination of their learning support and will support students to achieve their learning goals. You will lead and manage Teacher Aides, Additional Teachers, Mentors and Reader/Writers in the Te Kāhui Hauāurui Region and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ngā taipitopito tūranga mahi | Job details You'll come from a teaching background and have experience working with students who have additional learning needs, and knowledge of special education pedagogy. As a strong communicator and excellent relationship builder, you have proven stakeholder management and are a natural influencer. The successful candidate will ideally have the following:
Able to incorporate bicultural knowledge and implement tikanga and Matauranga Māori into practice.
Proven experience supporting learning support ākonga in huinga ako
Able to foster and maintain positive relationships with other kaimahi
Examples of positive conflict resolution with ākonga and whānau
Experience in the face to face sector
