Are you an administrator with experience in leadership or looking for an opportunity to develop a career pathway into leadership? We have a prospect for an amazing person with customer centric skills and a passion for leadership as Team Leader/Administrator to the Adult Administration Team, across Rotorua & Southern Lakes Adult Community Mental Health & Addictions Services.
This is an exciting, busy role that has a goal of delivering improved outcomes for our community, colleagues and organisation, adapting in an environment of continual change while supporting the growth and development of our administration team who are at the heart of why we do what we do.
If you are keen to contribute to the development of strategies, systems and processes, provide administrative and operational support and grow our most important resource, our people. You'll form an integral part of the Mental Health & Addictions Service administration team reporting to the Personal Assistant to Service Manager Mental Health; and dotted line to the Clinical (Nurse) Managers of the Rotorua and Taupo Adult Community Mental Health & Addictions Services; as well as working closely with the Senior Leadership Team regarding service strategic development.
The role will include:
- Responsibilities are Leadership/Management of staff
- Operational Support to the Clinical Nurse Managers
- Teamwork
- Staff Development
- Cover Administration duties including supporting a particular team during absences
- Follows the principles of the Te Ara Tauwhirotanga Model of Care – Pathways that lead us to act with kindness

The successful applicant will have:
- Ability to lead and work within complex systems and processes

- Proven skills in all windows based applications
- An understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural awareness

Awhe utu / Salary range
PSA Clerical & Administrative MECA, Band 7, (starting at $80,026) pro-rated to hours worked and depended on qualifications and experience.
