We have a vacancy for a very special person to fill a role as a Teacher Aide in our Middle School. The role will be working with a wonderful student who is vision impaired for 20 hours per week and will commence at the beginning of Term 1, January 2025. We would ideally like someone who has current teaching and/or Teacher Aide experience, who will fit in well with our Middle School (Years 7-10) and who has the confidence to work comfortably within this curriculum range. Adapt teaching methods to meet the learner’s needs
Prepare and adapt resources and class materials (with support and guidance from the specialist teacher)
Communicate well with class teachers and specialist teachers to plan for adaptations in upcoming activities
Support the learner’s independence and self-advocacy
