Student Support Advisor - Wellbeing
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
The Student Support Advisor – Wellbeing is a full time permanent position until 2025, then reverts back to 0.8 FTE . This rewarding role will provide support for students in their assigned portfolio and staff to enhance students’ learning experience and success.The Student Support Advisor - Wellbeing is based in our EIT | Te Pūkenga Gisborne campus, reporting to the Team Leader Student Support Services and will be responsible for:
- Providing support to students to enhance opportunities for success in tertiary study
- Contributing to the development and implementation of a strategy for Māori and Pacific student support
- Building networks within EIT | Te Pūkenga and the wider community that contribute to students’ learning experience and success.
- Developing and contributing to pastoral care networks for students and referring students to these networks as appropriate
He kōrero mōu| About you
To be successful in this role you will have:- A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable
- At least 2 years’ experience in providing support to students in their focus group, in the tertiary education environment (desirable)
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to quickly establish rapport and credibility
