Your day-to-day:
Support the Social Purpose team at Lotto NZ to deliver work programmes and initiatives designed to minimise harm and strengthen social purpose – with a key focus on the coordination and delivery of our Responsible Gambling Programme. Your day-to-day activities will include using data and feedback to identify customers displaying risky play behaviour, and the provision of timely and relevant communications and support to these customers. You will also provide monitoring and reporting on these processes and identify opportunities to improve their effectiveness. This will include utilising a new behavioural analytics tool to provide support to online players, coordinating our self-exclusion programme, and providing support to our wider responsible gambling programme.

You’ll also support the wider Social Purpose team with the coordination of other initiatives including employee-led network activities, training initiatives, communications and events.

Your team:
You’ll be an important part of a Social Purpose team who are dedicated to minimising harm and the delivery of initiatives focused on strengthening social purpose (community trust and confidence in Lotto NZ). You’ll be working alongside our small team to help make a meaningful difference, including ensuring safe and responsible engagement with our products. You will also work proactively with a variety of key stakeholders across our business including our Retail and Customer Services Teams.

A bit about you:
You’ll be values driven with a deep care for others and a core desire to make a positive difference. You’ll have experience in either customer services, coordination/administration and process implementation, and be keen to help minimise harm and contribute to the safety and wellbeing of our customers. You will:
  • Have at least 2+ years’ experience in customer services or administration or coordination roles.
  • Be an effective and empathetic communicator, with great interpersonal skills and be comfortable communicating with customers and key external and internal stakeholders. This includes both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have excellent organisational and administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Be computer literate, including intermediate level of skills in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Be competent at interpreting and analysing numerical and technical information and be able to use data to inform insights.
A background in, interest, or relevant qualification in gambling, addictions, psychology or public health, would be advantageous. Other benefits would be experience in communications and strong cultural competency.

Come as you are:

We want you to feel at home when you’re with us. We accept you and celebrate you exactly as you are, no matter your background.

At Lotto NZ, we believe that when everyone’s in, everyone wins. That’s why we’re committed to and intentional about building a diverse and inclusive workforce that our customers and communities can feel a part of. Our focus is to create an environment where you thrive, and where people from all backgrounds feel seen, heard, and understood!

This is your opportunity to join a group of good people, with good vibes who support each other like whānau.

How we care for you:

To help you win at work and beyond, we’ve created some purposeful ways to look after you, your whānau and the community we . Some of this includes:

  • Insurances including medical, life, income protection and critical illness to make sure you’re covered whenever you need it!
  • Flexibility to have the work-life balance that suits both you and the people you care about via our hybrid working model.
  • An annual wellness benefit to support your wellbeing.
  • Extra paid leave for days like Lotto Day at Christmas and Volunteer Day.
  • Personalised development to help you grow, including access to tools like Linked In Learning.
  • Recruitment referral bonus.
  • Modern office in Newmarket plus barista coffee machine.
  • An array of health and wellness benefits such as free flu jabs, access to EAP and onsite gym.
  • Parental leave return to work lumpsum payment.
  • Opportunity to join any of our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Wellbeing networks.
  • Enjoy fresh fruit, biscuits, coffee, breakfast, and a selection of teas on us!

We want you to feel comfortable throughout the recruitment process, so please feel free to let us know if there is anything you need to allow you to participate equitably.

Don’t worry if you think you don’t tick all the boxes – if you have passion and interest, we would love to hear from you.

While applications from any background are actively encouraged, the right to work in New Zealand is a must.
