About the Role - The purpose of this role is to ensure that the district's reticulation networks (Wastewater and Stormwater) are operated and maintained in an effective manner and that customer service enquiries relating to the provision of these services are dealt with in accordance with Council Policy. It will also carry out specific projects and works as required by the Network Team Leader (NTL) and Works Delivery Manager (WDM). Do you have what it takes? - This is a busy role and if you want plenty of variety, this role has it from network inspections, contractor work auditing, reviewing CCTV footage and instructing repairs on networks, input into maintenance planning, day-today management and supervision of the Utilities Maintenance contract, assessment and evaluation of payment certificates for certification and issuing work orders and instructions related to service contracts and advise NTL. It will also ensure maintenance programmes and scheduled works are carried out as per contract ensuring reactive repairs are completed within the required time frames specified in the contract. In addition, it will assist the Development Engineer with service connection applications when required, provide recommendations on renewal planning and audit all reports from the contractor, as stipulated in the contract, with respect to networks and ensure they are both timely and accurate. About You - You are a talented team player with a great work ethic, strong attention to detail, the ability to communicate easily with the public and dependable with great time management. You will have a Certificate in On-site Wastewater Management Systems Design (Level 4), or National Certificate in Water Reticulation (Supervisor) with strands in Water and Wastewater - Level 4 or equivalent, and 1-2 years' experience in wastewater reticulation systems. In addition, you will also have advanced skills and demonstrated knowledge relating to operation and maintenance of wastewater and drainage reticulation systems and experience in wastewater reticulation networks and contract supervision/management.
