Our IT department is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Senior Systems Administrator to join our Auckland team. We are interested in speaking with candidates who are organised and can build relationships easily with their team. Prior professional services firm experience is strongly preferred.
Purpose of the position:
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, this role is responsible for IT systems and network services within Bell Gully. This role is a hands-on, technical position, requiring a high level of technical expertise. The role’s overarching responsibilities include adherence and contributing to the firm’s information security management system (ISMS), management and support of firewall configuration, server and database support.
Main responsibilities (non-exhaustive):
- Maintain and improve core infrastructure and systems with a strong focus on information security.
- Maintain and improve security and risk management practices.
- Maintain and improve high availability and disaster recovery processes
- Contribute to, and support the incident response process.
- On-call outside of our standard office hours, with additional allowances for work during these times.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Experience in systems and network administration/management, experience in a LAN/WAN environment.
- Experience with Windows server, Active Directory, DNS, Office 365, Microsoft SCCM, Power Shell.
- Previous exposure to implementing and managing data, routers, WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, wireless and mobile technologies.
- Previous experience with server and network design, architecture, implementation, and support.
- Proficient with building / configuring networked Microsoft Windows client devices. Desktop application packaging and scripting.
- Worked with VMware, v Sphere and with a SAN environment.
- Experience with firewall configuration (preferably Palo Alto).
- Experience with Cisco/Juniper switches and routers.
- Experience supporting a large-scale enterprise document management system.
- Knowledge and experience of network security, intrusion detection, design knowledge of internet architecture.
- Experience with security solutions and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), preferably Cortex XDR.
Culture and benefits:
We provide a generous remuneration package, which ranges between $100,000 - $120,000 per annum, based on the successful applicant’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, this role is required to be on call and will receive an on call allowance for these hours.
Our standard office hours are 8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday and this role will work guaranteed minimum hours of 37.5 hours per week plus on call shifts.
