About the role
As one of our Senior Data Engineers, you will provide technical leadership and guidance across data pipelines and datasets while also providing oversight of design, development and maintenance of Genesis data lake, warehouse and analytics platforms. This role will work on innovative and exciting projects collaboratively with various teams to deliver successful migrations to big data platforms, ensuring scalable and sustainable data solutions.

About the role

This role will work on innovative and exciting projects collaboratively with various teams to deliver successful migrations to big data platforms, ensuring scalable and sustainable data solutions.
In this role you will also;
- Provide technical leadership in developing and maintaining data pipelines and assets.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Governance teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain the Genesis data lake, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
- Analyse data sources and model data to align with enterprise information models.
- Introduce and implement best practices in data integration and engineering.
About you
We are looking for a seasoned technical data expert who can lead by example and who is passionate about using new technologies and continuously improving best data practices.
You will also have;
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure Data toolkit and Databricks.
- Strong technical leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide others.
- Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise relational database management systems, data modelling as well as working with high volume and latency data.
- Proven ability to implement and advocate for engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in data migrations to big data platforms would be preferred.
