Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The Partnerships & Engagement Directorate is responsible for building and maintaining AT's trust and reputation through outstanding partnerships, engagement, marketing and communications. We represent the voices of customers and communities to ensure AT keeps them at the heart of all it does, sharing and amplifying great stories to effect change and grow understanding. We are looking for a number of Senior Communications and Engagement Advisors to join our Strategic Programmes Communications and Engagement team to support delivery of a programme which will transform how the limited space on Auckland's streets is managed and prioritises making it easier to travel across our city. This role will plan, develop and implement engagement and communications for projects within this wider programme, ensuring communities and customers are well informed about changes to our roadspace and their insights are reflected in our work. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, partners, stakeholders and customers to build influence and help decision makers to produce informed outcomes. Ko koe tēnei | About you You will bring a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a communication and engagement role alongside the following:
Ability to think creatively to develop effective communication and engagement strategies and plans for complex projects, policies and programmes that are impactful and fit for purpose.
Experience providing strategic advice in a fast- paced environment and identifying and managing risk.
Managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
Experience working in one or more of the following would be highly desirable; the public sector or local government, infrastructure or transport sectors.
Political nous.
Strong resilience, optimism and empathy.
Experience delivering customer focused outcomes.
IAP2 training or knowledge is preferred.
