Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We have a fantastic permanent role for a Capital Reporting Analyst to join our Capital Performance and Projects Team within Finance. In this role you will support the Capital Performance Manager and Capital Business Partners to provide effective financial management of Auckland Transport (AT). You will assist by providing accurate, timely, commercially insightful financial reporting; ensure access to critical financial information; and support the proactive education and challenge to business leaders to understand and utilise financial information for decision-making, financial stewardship, measurement and achievement against department business plans. The role will liaise with the broader financial community across AT and third parties to ensure the organisation meets its financial regulatory obligations and delivers value adding service to their customers. Kokoetēnei| About you As our successful Capital Reporting Analyst, you will have a background in finance, business advisory, and/or accounting. You will also have:
A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or related discipline
The ability to have meaningful and insightful financial conversations with your stakeholders
Studying towards CA/ CIMA/CPA or Accounting qualifications is required
First-hand experience of planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Experience in utilising systems and processes to effectively monitor financial performance.
Experience with preparing reports from ERP systems (preferably SAP).
Due to the variety of stakeholders that you will interact with, it is essential that you have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
