Our client has an immediate requirement for a Senior C/C++ Developer (Linux) to join their highly successful international software development company based in Christchurch. Your role will include a significant amount of Linux application development and maintenance primarily in the Operational aspects of Linux. You will be working on a very technical, mission-critical solution that manages and monitors applications, operating systems, and cloud configurations so more platform focused.
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following skillsets and experience;
7+ years commercial experience developing software applications using C/C++
Extensive knowledge at an in-depth level covering software architecture and design patterns
Deep understanding and commercial experience covering both Linux and Windows Operating Systems – programming, architecture, firewalling and administration
Experience with Cloud Azure / AWS platforms is highly desirable
Experience with EKS / AKS Kubernetes for Containerisation
Experience with Rancher, Docker, Harbour would also be highly desirable
Strategic Thinker with the ability to recommend technologies that align with business goals
Strong problem solving skillsets and experience and the ability to collaborate
Passion for continuous learning and keeping up to date with technology shifts
Willing to Take a leading role in the architectural, direction and design decisions
Using your skills and knowledge to efficiently develop, test and maintain the software
Providing mentoring and support to others sharing your specialist knowledge
Analysing and troubleshooting complex software issues, developing solutions to improve system performance, reliability and scalability
