You will be part of a team working across a range of RACP accredited runs for both Basic and Advanced Training, which include:
The best of both the clinical and academic worlds through extensive links to the University of Otago's Dunedin School of Medicine. Working closely with consultants, employed by both the School of Medicine and Te Whatu Ora Southern you will have opportunities to link in with those at the forefront of research and/or teaching.
In a department that has a strong academic presence, opportunities for successful candidates will be far and wide, and will involve the ability to undertake research as part of training

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of New Zealand Resident Doctors' Association and 20 DHB Multi Employer Collective 17 May 2021 - 31 March 2024 (NZRDA MECA) and Specialty Trainees of New Zealand and 20 District Health Boards Multi Employer Collective Agreement 14 December 2021 - 13 December 2023 (the STONZ MECA) and the salary will fall between $103,045 - $203,500 dependant on relevant experience.

Mōu ake - About you
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at www.mcnz.org.nz
- Training towards a career as a Physician or wanting to gain experience in adult medicine towards a relevant career such as General Practice, Rural Hospital Medicine, Emergency, or Intensive Care
- We are interested in hearing from RMOs with a minimum of two years' post qualification experience and who possess a keen interest in General Medicine
- Advanced Trainees must have passed the FRACP and be deemed by the RACP as having advanced into this category of training
