There is an opportunity available to join the team based in Te Matau a Maui (Hawke's Bay) in Te Ikaroa – Central Region, NPHS, as a Public Health Medicine Specialist. This is a permanent, full-time senior role .
In this role, you will lead the delivery of public health services, collaborate with NPHS colleagues to ensure high-quality public health work, and fulfil the responsibilities of a designated Medical Officer of Health. You will offer expert advice to support a cohesive, effective and equitable health system, aiming for improved population health outcomes.
This role is for up to 1 FTE (40 hours per week) and includes participation in an on-call roster.
