Te Pae Tawhiti – Our Future is about MSD's future role and how we can make a bigger and better difference for New Zealanders.
Te Pae Tawhiti Programme is a once in a generation, multi-year transformation, which aims to ensure MSD has the capability to serve New Zealanders now and for decades to come.
Service Experience is the key implementation arm of this transformation. Through Service Experience we will implement the technology, processes and tools needed to land both our Future Service Model and Client Engagement Practice, while also transforming the way the Ministry delivers its core products and services for clients, staff and partners.
Service Experience is at an exciting point in our journey. We have just embarked on a period of ‘Discovery' with our transformation partner. This role will be joining the team at a time where you have the opportunity to shape the direction of our programme.

About this role:
Te Pae Tawhiti Programme is seeking a Programme Advisor to to support the design, development and implementation of the future service experience.
This role will be working closely with the Service Experience Programme Manager, and a wider team responsible for programme planning and delivery.
The Programme Advisor will be supporting and leading key programme rhythms and future planning to ensure Service Experience delivers its outcomes. On a day-to-day basis this might look like: • Designing and managing programme processes, tools and artefacts (such as risk registers and dependency maps), and working with delivery teams to ensure these are embedded in their weekly rhythms and feel valuable
  • Supporting, and providing advice to governance groups and senior leadership, to ensure they are supported to make informed and timely decisions- including preparing reports, status updates, developing agendas, and managing arising actions
  • Working with the team to develop integrated plans across workstreams that deliver on Service Experience outcomes, and making sure these plans are effectively tracked
This role would be right for you if you:
  • Enjoy working as part of a team, delivering at pace and problem-solving on a daily basis • Enjoy operating in a space where you have the opportunity to shape the direction of the work, and get satisfaction in creating clarity from uncertainty • Have a good grounding in key project management tools and approaches, such as risk and dependency management, effective reporting and planning • Have a good sense of both Agile and Waterfall as project management methodologies, and can reflect on their strengths and limitations in different contexts • Are comfortable with Jira as a project management tool • Are comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders including Senior Leadership and external stakeholders • Have experience writing reports for governance groups and/or senior leaders • Are passionate about making a difference for people through the work you do • Have an understanding of equity issues and the Treaty of Waitangi, and the implications of these for the work of MSD

Salary range: $78,222.00 - $94,689.00
