Production Operator - Packing

An exciting opportunity exists for a Production Operator to join the home of Maggi, at our Nestlé Cambria Park factory in Wiri.

As Packing Operator your responsibilities will include;

Operating Packing lines to ensure that food products are correctly packed and ready for distribution to stores
Timely completion of quality checks, complying with food safety and GMP programs, and accurately recording stoppages and other relevant information
Performing quality checks to ensure that all products sent out meet high-quality standards
Actively participating in safety initiatives, reporting hazards and incidents and following site safety processes and procedures
Actively participate in NCE practices to maintain and improve operational standards
Develop and maintain competency by undertaking necessary training and development to competently operate plant and equipment, monitor and control processes and comply with Nestle standards

To be successful you must possess the following qualities;

Reliabilty, trustworthiness and positive attitude
Good level of fitness due to manual handling requirements
Strong focus on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Computer skills
Strong focus on Health and Safety
Strategic thinking and resourcefulness problem solving
The ability to effectively communicate and interact with team members, supervisors and other stakeholders in the Production process

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not necessary as on the job training will be provided.
