Payroll Associate - 12 month fixed term

About the Role (your why)
The Payroll Associate is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate delivery of the payroll function.

What you’ll do
  • Processing payroll for Datacom employees on the agreed basis, accurately and within a timely manner.
  • Update payroll information.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and managing enquiries.
  • Being actively involved in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
  • Supporting with the preparation of standard and ad hoc reports.
  • Resolving payment errors in a timely manner.
  • Providing accurate and timely advice to management and staff, and are kept up to date with legislation, policy and system changes.
  • Help support the identification of process improvements, needs and priorities.
  • Being actively involved in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
What you’ll bring
  • Understand relevant legislation and if applicable, award expectations, Associated taxation and superannuation legislation compliance requirements and conditions of employment.
  • Understanding of the core principles of payroll end to end processes.
  • Understanding of company business requirements. Knowledge of various payroll software/methodologies.
  • 2+ years of payroll experience.
  • ·Demonstrated experience in effectively administering payroll.
  • Demonstrated experience in relevant employment and if applicable, award interpretation.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members. Strong numeracy skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey information across various levels.
