Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Labcare Pathology at Taranaki Base Hospital has a 0.8FTE permanent Medical Laboratory Scientist position available. The ideal candidate will become part of a rostered team covering our 24 hour a day - 7 days a week service in the following disciplines: - Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Transfusion Science and Specimen Services. We welcome applicants with the following attributes:
Hold a relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Science.
Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Sciences Council as a scientist (provisional registration acceptable)
Medical laboratory skills within multiple disciplines
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Able to work rostered shifts covering various days, evening and nights
Excellent communication skills
Excellent time management skills.
