Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
Mediators play a critical role under the provisions of the Employment Relations Act, and they’re involved in a wide range of employment relations activities – from helping people to resolve employment relationship problems and disputes to working with employers and employees to help them maintain constructive relationships.
We’re looking for a person that enjoys working with people in high conflict to help them work through a process with all parties to the dispute in a way that is culturally appropriate and meets the needs of the diverse parties.

Experience working with Māori and culturally diverse parties in professional and emotionally sensitive environments * Knowledge and experience of te ao Māori practices, including tikanga, te reo Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi * Experience working with collective bargaining * You must be comfortable working on a wide range of employment situations * Experience working with legislation and understanding of dispute resolution processes * Any volunteer work or qualification that is relevant to the skills and experience for the role. * Good written and oral communications with people of various levels and backgrounds * Flexible, agile and resilient for a fast-paced environment * Must have legal right to live and work in NZ * You must have the ability to travel Ētahi kōrero mō MBIE - About MBIE:
