Hamilton City Libraries is seeking a dynamic and innovative Matihiko Technology Support Librarian to help support the development of its next generation of website interactivity, digital collections enhancement, and expanded electronic services and systems. You will also be involved in the ongoing promotion of Hamilton City Libraries, especially through the development of innovative social media campaigns.
This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in the changing libraries environment. As a Matihiko Technology Support Librarian, you’ll be a vital part of the Hamilton City Libraries team, responsible for supporting the maintenance and operational requirements of the digital technologies throughout our network of libraries. Our ideal candidate will be:
A proactive, outgoing person with a can-do attitude and outstanding time management skills
Experienced in coaching and supporting others in the use of digital technology and platforms
Interested in social media and online engagement and the impact this can have in connecting with an audience
Digitally literate and familiar with using databases and search tools to logically gather, organise and analyse information quickly
Familiar with library management systems
What are the working hours for this role? This is a fixed term full-time position 37.5 hours per week to cover parental leave, starting early March 2025 until the end of February 2026.
What's the Salary? The recruiting range for this role starts at $68,854 per annum and could be negotiated for the right candidate.
