We are seeking an experienced Irrigation & Water System Service Technician to join our growing team in response to increasing business demand.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in installing and maintaining irrigation systems and will play a key role in meeting the needs of our valued customers. Only applicants with verifiable experience as an irrigation or water system technician or engineer will be considered.
This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start or a mutually agreed-upon timeframe. Remuneration for this role is $65,000–$75,000, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, diagnosing faults, and repairing water systems — including irrigation, pumping, dairy, stock water, domestic supply, and water treatment systems — for our clients in the Marlborough region. An ability to lead and supervise onsite work and projects in collaboration with the operations manager and designers would be beneficial. Additionally, an applicant with experience and knowledge in irrigation systems allowing them to be able to monitor the performance of customer irrigation systems, and recommend improvements and repairs as needed would, be of an advantage.
Must have attributes:

At least 5 years verifiable experience with backgrounds and knowledge in Pumping, Irrigation installation or water systems
Electrical skills or understanding of irrigation control systems
Engineering or fabrication experience
Relevant tertiary degree highly preferred
Forman/project management skills
High standards of workmanship
Good character who is a team player with the ability to build a strong rapport with fellow workers
Sound practical background and skills
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Proven leadership skills and performance under pressure
Ability to work autonomously when required
Enjoy problem solving with a desire to learn
Is legally permitted to work in NZ
Has a clean and full NZ Drivers License
